Terms of Use

1. Pricing and quotes

We don't give fixed all-in prices over the phone. What we provide on the call is our labour rates, an estimate on parts and VAT, based on the information you give us. Labour is charged by the hour or any part of, with a minimum charge of one hour. The technician will confirm the price for the job before any work begins. Where additional parts are genuinely required (for example, a snapped cylinder discovered on arrival), the technician will quote any additional cost before starting that work and will not proceed without your authorisation. Anti-social hours work carries a surcharge, which will be confirmed on the call. A second visit, where needed, is chargeable for another hour of labour at the standard rate.

2. Guarantee

We guarantee parts we have supplied and fitted for 12 months from the date of the job. Manufacturer warranties on parts are passed through (typically 1-10 years depending on the brand). The guarantee covers fitting and installation faults on the parts we provided, not damage caused by misuse, attempted forced entry, or unrelated wear elsewhere on the door.

3. Insurance

We hold £2,000,000 public liability insurance and full motor and tools cover. Certificates available on request.

4. Identification

Every technician carries photo ID. For lockouts, we reserve the right to ask for proof you live at or own the property before opening the door. This is for your protection as well as ours.

5. Cancellations

Pre-booked appointments can be cancelled up to 1 hour before the slot at no charge. Emergency call-outs cancelled after the technician has been dispatched may incur a partial call-out fee.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales.
